Trump and Zelensky Meeting Conversation (February 28, 2025, Oval Office)

Trump: (Sitting down, shaking hands) Vladimir, welcome to the White House. I hope you’re in a good mood because we have big things to discuss.
Zelensky: (In a serious tone) Thank you, President Trump. I’m here to speak for my country. We have little time, and the situation is grave.
Trump: (Laughing) Yes, always grave, always drama. Listen, we’ve done a lot for Ukraine—billions of dollars, weapons, everything. But I feel like you’re not grateful enough.
Zelensky: (Raising his eyebrows) We are grateful, but our fight isn’t just for us; it’s for the West too. Russia is at our borders, and we’re fighting alone.
Trump: (Interrupting) Russia, Russia, Russia—that’s all I hear. Listen, you’re playing with the risk of World War III. I want peace. Talk to Putin, agree to a ceasefire, and end this.
Zelensky: (Emotionally) Putin cannot be trusted! He broke the Minsk Agreement; he doesn’t honor his promises. We want peace, but not at the cost of our land and people.
Trump: (Waving his hand) That’s your problem; you’re being stubborn. I’ve spoken to Putin; he says he’s ready. Why aren’t you?
Zelensky: (Firmly) Because he lies. We saw it in 2014, and we saw it in 2022. You don’t understand because your borders are safe.
(Vice President JD Vance enters and joins the conversation.)
Vance: (Looking at Zelensky) President Zelensky, you’re making your case in front of the American media. We’re trying to save your country, and you’re testing our patience. Thank President Trump.
Zelensky: (Turning to Vance) You’ve never been to Ukraine, Mr. Vance. You don’t feel the war. You have a nice ocean; you don’t feel it now, but you will in the future.
Trump: (Angrily) What does that mean? Are you threatening me? Sitting here in the Oval Office?
Zelensky: (Calm but firm) It’s not a threat; it’s reality. If Russia wins, they won’t stop. It’s in your interest too that we win.
Vance: (Interrupting) We’ve done enough. Now decide—peace or war. We can’t keep writing blank checks forever.
Zelensky: (Looking at Trump) These aren’t blank checks; these are the lives of our children. You say you want peace, but peace cannot come at the cost of surrender.
Trump: (Standing up) Enough, that’s it. When you’re ready for peace, come back. But don’t disrespect me; this is my house.
Zelensky: (Standing up) I will keep fighting for my people. Thank you for your time.
(Both leaders conclude the meeting, and cameras capture their stern expressions.)
